Serial Presence Deduct ie SPD stands for standard way of accessing information about the memory module. Most Memory module manufactures store the SPD information into the EEROM of the module. The information sorted like module size, data and width and speed and voltage are very useful for configuration and management of the device.

SPD5 Hub specification allows management and interface of the DDR5 SPD EEROM. SPD 5118 is referred as SPD5. The SPD5118 specification allows access of Temperature sensor and DDR5 EEPROM Data.

SPD5 Hub has interfaces I2C and I3C to access the SPD5 registers. I3C is next generation interface from MIPI as replacement towards I2C protocol.

SPD5 Hub I3C Controller allows designers to easily configure the SPD Hub registers and access the Temperature sensor data of the DDR5 module.

SPD5 Hub works on I3C bus . I3C bus provides fast data rates and low latency to access the registers. The specification is compatible with JEDEC DDR5 . ie JESD300-5A)
